Bill Smith Electric, Inc. – Cantonment, FL
Commercial Electrical Contractor

Bill Smith Electric, Inc. is looking for an experienced and dependable Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction accounting and be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of accounts receivable.
Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date general ledger.
Prepare and process payroll, including tax filings.
Generate financial reports (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements).
Assist with month-end and year-end closings.
Ensure compliance with tax laws and accounting regulations.
Organize and maintain financial records.
Perform additional administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
Prior construction accounting or construction bookkeeping experience required.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop and MS Office, particularly Excel.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate.
Strong time management, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities.
