Our client is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant / Cost Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong financial analysis skills, effective communication abilities, and a detail-oriented mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant / Cost Accountant
Location: Hanover, PA
Pay Range: $60,000 to $75,000 yearly depending on experience
What's the Job?- Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Assist with the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements.
- Coordinate and assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Provide cost analysis and variance reporting for manufacturing jobs and production activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast costs for new projects and ensure proper cost tracking.
What's Needed?- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field (MBA is a plus).
- 3+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in the manufacturing industry.
- Working knowledge of tax laws, GAAP, and cost accounting principles.
- Advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
