We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Emergency Room Director to lead the operations of a high-performing Emergency Department in Las Cruces, New Mexico . This full-time leadership opportunity offers a relocation package and a competitive sign-on bonus for the ideal candidate. You will play a critical role in managing emergency care delivery, fostering clinical excellence, and enhancing departmental performance.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic and operational leadership for daily emergency department functions
Oversee staffing, recruitment, training, and ongoing professional development of ER personnel
Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, and patient-centered emergency care
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices in line with regulatory and accreditation standards
Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal healthcare regulations
Collaborate with executive leadership to align departmental goals with overall hospital objectives
Manage departmental budgets, control costs, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
Lead quality improvement initiatives and risk management strategies to elevate patient outcomes
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required
Advanced degree (MSN, MHA, or MBA) strongly preferred
Current RN license in the state of New Mexico (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
Minimum 7 years of healthcare experience , including at least 3 years in a leadership role
Previous experience in a for-profit hospital environment highly preferred
Proven expertise in emergency department operations, staff management, and fiscal oversight
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Required within 6 months of hire
