Director of Emergency Services – Full-Time, Days
Location: Las Vegas, NV area
Schedule: Monday – Friday | Day Shift | No Weekends
Salary Range: $123,448 – $175,000 annually (based on experience)
Incentives: Performance Bonus Eligible

A high-volume acute care hospital in the Las Vegas area is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Emergency Services to lead a fast-paced Emergency Department, which includes the main 29-bed ED and three high-traffic freestanding emergency departments (FSEDs) . This is a key executive nursing leadership role focused on operational performance, clinical excellence, team development, and exceptional patient outcomes.
Lead and manage clinical and administrative operations of:
29-bed main ED serving up to 160 patients daily
Three freestanding ERs , with individual daily volumes ranging from 25 to 110 patients
Ensure departmental compliance with internal policies, procedures, and external regulatory standards
Optimize patient flow, staffing, and quality metrics in collaboration with nursing leadership
Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and compassion across all locations
Mentor and develop nurse leaders, clinical managers, and high-potential staff
Oversee program development to enhance patient experience, safety, and satisfaction
Reports to: Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO)
Direct Reports: Two Emergency Department Managers (Main ED and FSEDs)
Staff Oversight: 96+ FTEs and supplemental PRN staff
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (required)
Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business (preferred)
Licensure:
Active RN license in Nevada or eligibility for endorsement
Certifications (required):
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in emergency services within an acute care setting
Proven track record of managing high-volume departments and leading multi-site teams
Strong communication and strategic decision-making skills
