An industry-leading engineering and fabrication company specializing in fluid delivery systems is seeking a skilled Electrical Hardware Design Engineer . In this role, you will lead the controls hardware design of custom automation systems from concept through final customer acceptance. This includes panel design, component selection, and coordination with internal teams throughout the build and debug process.
Design electrical panels and systems using E-PLAN and/or AutoCAD.
Develop and prepare electrical drawings and complete Bills of Materials (BOM).
Select hardware components including switchgear, relays, and control arrays.
Collaborate with vendors to source parts and manage cost/delivery timelines.
Work closely with the Panel Build team to ensure accurate and efficient builds.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware design issues during startup and testing.
Assist with in-house testing, debugging, and support assembly and service teams.
Attend customer meetings, field checks, and provide installation support as needed.
Interpret mechanical prints and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
3–6 years of experience in electrical hardware design using E-PLAN (preferred).
Proficient with electrical design in analog, digital, and/or high-voltage systems.
Knowledge of OSHA, NEC, NFPA, UL, ANSI, CE, and other relevant standards.
Experience with plant layouts, panel design, and controls hardware for automation.
Familiar with hazardous location electrical design considerations.
Strong time management and ability to meet project deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Office Suite, and Microsoft Teams.
Fluid handling or process automation experience is a plus.
