Job Description:

St. Maximilian Kolbe School in West Chester, Pennsylvania  is in search of an experienced principal for a dynamic PK-8th grade elementary school to start the 2023-2024 school year. The parish seeks a strong leader with the ability to communicate and collaborate with the pastor, teachers, and parents.

St. Maximilian Kolbe School is a vibrant learning center for the children of the parish. The mission of the school is the faith formation of the students in preparing children to be full and practicing Catholics and the next generation of leaders for the Church. In fulfilling the mission of the school, the faculty and staff work to create a Christ-centered Catholic community where all are called to model Jesus’ Law of Love. The school endeavors to educate the whole child through a varied and challenging academic curriculum as well as assist the children in learning how to live out a balanced commitment to service.

St. Maximilian Kolbe School is accredited by the Middle States Association and completed the re-accreditation process in March 2023. There is an Implementation Team in place to carry the Action Plan through to completion.

All students at St. Maximilian Kolbe School utilize technology as a major learning tool. In addition to Interactive Flat panel Smartboards in every classroom, students in grades 3 through 8 use school issued Chromebooks. 

The current enrollment of St. Maximilian Kolbe School is 198 students from PreK to Grade 8. The parish school principal serves in collaborative leadership with a total of 19 full-time and part-time faculty members. 

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• A practicing Catholic with a strong commitment to the Catholic faith
• A minimum of five years’ experience in Catholic education
• Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent leadership, people management and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in technology and forward thinking
• Knowledge of marketing and enrollment strategies to foster school viability
• Knowledge of school operations including budgeting and fundraising
• Knowledge of accreditation and certification processes
