More details:
A family relocating to Franklin Lakes is looking for a Nanny for their two daughters. The schedule is not set in stone but ideally the schedule will be Monday to Friday from 7 am to 5:30/6:30 pm. This family is looking for a Nanny who would be open to occasional date night care.

Duties:
Cooking and preparing meals for the girls. Children’s laundry and basic tidying after them. Transporting to and from school and any extracurricular classes. Facilitating independent activities at home (crafting, worksheets, etc.) Engaging in age-appropriate and development-focused play, keeping track of milestones, planning activities outside the home (library, parks, classes), Supervising play dates, and maintaining a nap schedule. For both children, giving a bath/supervising a shower, depending on activities. Informing the parents when supplies are running low. Taking out garbage if it becomes full during the Nanny’s shift. Separating out the girls' damaged or outgrown clothing for storage/donation.

Ideal nanny:
Someone who is experienced in caring for children of a variety of ages and is developmentally-minded and thinks strategically about developmental goals and childhood learning. The ideal candidate is someone who truly finds joy in raising children, warm, energetic, creative, motivated, collaborative, and accommodating, yet firm. A Nanny who will encourage the girls to be independent (potty training, teaching them to get themselves dressed, help with household activities, etc.). A nanny who is reliable most of all, a great communicator, and will keep the parents updated throughout the day. Nanny should be flexible when the kids are sick, she should be willing to come in if she or the children have a cold.

About the children:
This 5-year-old is sweet, silly, a thinker, and independent. She loves singing, crafts, and helping with her younger sister. Her love language is quality time. She enjoys someone who wants to be in her world.

Baby sister is a cuddler, a good sleeper, sweet, and resilient. She loves pretend play, outdoor activities like climbing, and her Fox, whose name is Lovey! She looks up to her big sister and they get along most of the time.

About the parents:
Mom and Dad are on the quieter side but both are easy going. Their discipline structure includes treating others the way they’d like to be treated and harmful actions have consequences. Explaining why the action was wrong and how it impacts others. They implement a warning system and explain in advance, what the consequences will be. They view a Nanny as part of their parenting team, where all are equal collaborators, and encourage strategic discussion on problem-solving, goals, and other ideas. When grandparents are visiting, the Parents will work with the Nanny.
