As a Payroll Personnel Clerk II in the Oakland Finance Department, you will be an integral member of the Finance Payroll Team, and you will be key in performing the full range of payroll processing duties.

The following qualifications are guidelines, as the appointing authority has broad discretion in filling positions in this classification.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
Experience
One year of experience comparable to Payroll Personnel Clerk I in the City of Oakland;
OR
Two years of experience in general office support or accounting clerical work which included bookkeeping or payroll experience.
Exempt Limited Duration Employee (ELDE) : This is an at-will position, exempt from the provisions of the City of Oakland Civil Service Rules (per Charter Section 902f). Exempt Limited Duration positions may not exceed a period of one year.
