Job Description

ExeQut is seeking an experienced PHP Full Stack Drupal Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in developing innovative, feature-rich professional websites and applications using Drupal, with a focus on delivering web-based, data-driven solutions. This position offers flexibility with a hybrid work structure, allowing employees to work remotely or from one of our office locations. You will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of product and service development for internal systems and client platforms, from design and development to testing and maintenance.

The role starts on a U.S. Federal Contract, focusing on consumer protections, policy, and law enforcement. The position will initially involve supporting the technical manager in weekly tasks, with the long-term goal of taking on day-to-day tasks, maintenance, and monitoring.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise-level Drupal applications
• Design, develop, test, document, and maintain web applications
• Gather requirements and translate them into system design
• Monitor, maintain, and deploy platform releases
• Collaborate with InfoSec and OID teams to report incidents
• Conduct regular assessments and improvements (508 ARIA compliance, Drupal core upgrades)
• Manage cloud-hosted environments (AWS, Acquia Cloud, etc.)

Qualifications and Requirements

Technical and Non-Technical Skills

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in web development with strong PHP knowledge
• Experience with Drupal (version 8+), including custom module development
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and modern frameworks (Sass, Bootstrap)
• Experience using version control tools (Git) and continuous integration (Jenkins)
• Skilled in using AJAX, REST APIs, Composer, Drush
• Familiar with Drupal theming, LAMP stack, and container-based architectures
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with project teams and clients
• Ability to translate technical ideas for non-technical stakeholders
• Results-driven, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to a fast-paced environment

Compliance Requirements

• Must be a U.S.-born or naturalized citizen
• Must pass federal background and security clearance evaluations

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience with cloud-based hosting services and compliance with industry best practices
• Familiarity with Acquia Cloud, Pantheon, or similar managed services
• Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
• Experience working in virtualized development environments

Additional Information

• Role Type: Full Time (W-2)
• Hours per Week: 40 base, with overtime possible
• Location: Hybrid (Remote/On-site in Lanham, MD, USA). 100% remote considered for candidates outside commuting distance.
