Position Summary:  
Perform a wide variety of duties related to the timely ordering of parts, supplies, and materials. 
Major Responsibilities:  

• Process orders daily and follow up on open purchase orders 

• Verify order acknowledgments and update pricing and ship dates 

• Process debit and credit memos; process credit card transactions and cash sales. 

• Handle emergency orders for service and sales 

• Assure accuracy with vendor invoices 

• Negotiate pricing 

• Set up new vendors 

• Work with the sales and service teams to ensure parts arrive at the requested timeframe 

• Order industrial equipment and parts 

• Back-up stockroom attendant 

• Handle duties as assigned by the Purchasing Manager 

Required Skills:  

• Able to lift over-the-head; up to 50 lbs. 

• Must be highly organized, proactive, and possess strong follow-up and investigative skills 

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and maintain operating knowledge of software system 

• Ability to work as a team member 

• Friendly business professional manner by telephone and in person 

• Great customer service skills 

• Some overtime required
