- Seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney licensed in both Maryland and the District of Columbia to join The Murphy Law Firm in Upper Marlboro, MD.- Salary range of $135,000 - $165,000 based on experience and licensing.- Opportunities for career advancement within our expanding practice.- Emphasis on collaborative and values-driven environment dedicated to serving clients and the community.- Chance to collaborate with skilled legal professionals in a pursuit of excellence.- Maryland/District of Columbia bar licensing required, or potential pathway to dual licensing for eligible candidates. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with paralegals and managing attorneys to drive cases forward efficiently and strategically • Advocate passionately for clients, developing case strategies that align with their needs and best interests • Represent clients in court, manage asset division, and prepare cases meticulously from start to finish • Lead client meetings, maintain organized files, and provide legal expertise across a range of family law issues • Engage with clients compassionately, especially in cases involving sensitive issues like child custody and domestic violence • Cultivate lasting relationships with current and future clients, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to personalized service Qualifications: Who You Are: • Experience: A minimum of six years in Family Law litigation with substantial courtroom experience • Credentials: J.D. from an accredited law school with an active license in MD or DC (dual license preferred) • Skills: Strong communication, critical thinking, and time management skills; adept at negotiation and client relationship management • Mindset: A problem-solver with a client-first mentality who can remain composed under pressure and guide clients with empathy Preferred Skills: • Estate Planning experience • Innovative problem-solving capabilities Ready to Make a Difference?
