Job Title: Senior Network Engineer (Cisco/Juniper)

Location: Remote (Candidates in Texas or surrounding states preferred)
Travel: Up to 50% (regional and national travel within the U.S.)
Clearance Requirement: Must be a U.S. citizen. The ability and willingness to obtain a DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance is required (active clearance strongly preferred).

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and self-driven senior network engineer to join a growing modern infrastructure team within a leading IT services organization. The ideal candidate will bring expert-level knowledge of enterprise networking technologies, network security, and hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper environments. This is a remote position with regular travel to customer and partner sites across the U.S.

As a senior technical resource, you will lead networking projects, support junior engineers, engage in pre-sales activities, and work closely with internal architecture and delivery teams to design and deploy secure, scalable network solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, install, configure, and troubleshoot complex enterprise network infrastructure.
• Lead customer engagements related to network modernization assessments and implementations.
• Document and maintain network configurations and develop project documentation (SOWs, LOEs, Visio diagrams).
• Serve as a senior technical lead and mentor to Level 1 and Level 2 engineers.
• Participate in pre-sales technical scoping when required.
• Maintain professional certifications to support OEM partner requirements.
• Oversee and support delivery methodologies and help drive automation of network service deployments.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with project managers, design engineers, and customers to ensure successful implementations.
• Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship-required due to clearance eligibility
• Willingness and ability to obtain a DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance (active clearance preferred)
• 7+ years of hands-on field experience in enterprise networking roles
• Professional-level Juniper certification required:
  • JNCIP, JNCIS-ENT, or JNCIS-SP
• Advanced knowledge and experience with Cisco networking technologies
• Proficiency with:
  • Routing and switching
  • Cisco ISE
  • Cisco SDA (Software-Defined Access)
  • Wireless networking
• Strong background in:
  • NTP, IPAM, DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory
  • Security technologies (e.g., Fortinet experience is a plus)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Visio
• Excellent time management and multitasking skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lead projects independently or in collaboration with engineering/project teams

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Fortinet firewalls or security platforms
• Background in delivering projects within both commercial and government sectors
• Experience in supporting modern infrastructure initiatives
