Director, Asset Management - Commercial Real Estate

Ranked as one of the fastest growing companies in the country, a leading commercial real estate company is seeking an Director, Asset Manager to lead the buildout of their real estate operations across the East Coast. A leading commercial real estate operator based in California, this is a newly created role, expanding their operations coast to coast. Focusing on everything from strategic planning, sophisticated financial analysis, and building out a tier-1 asset management team, this is an excellent role for a proven Asset Manager looking to take the next step in their career and step into a leadership role with one of the fastest growing real estate companies in the country.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual business plans for assigned assets, including leasing objectives, operating budgets, and capital plans
• Conduct in-depth market research to fully execute on long term business objectives
• Develop and implement operational and leasing strategies while evaluating and resolving property operational issues
• Monitor and report on asset operational and financial performance on an ongoing basis.
• Present quarterly asset reviews, providing all material inputs and follow-up items to meet or exceed returns
• Establish quarterly lease rate guidance and drive execution of same with leasing teams
• Negotiate, review, and approve material tenant lease documents and other asset related agreements.
• Provide asset acquisition/disposition support as needed (e.g. property tours, diligence coordination, material inputs, closing oversight, etc.).
• Hire, lead, and develop a team of knowledgeable, hard-working leasing personnel in assigned markets
• Work closely with the investor relations teams regarding reporting and highlighting new opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, business, or related field. MBA a plus but not required
• 7+ years of experience in industrial/commercial real estate asset management. Candidates with retail or multi-family experience will also be considered
• Advanced Excel skills
• Argus experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to travel 30% (throughout Florida)
• Proven track record of building and leading a successful team
